Our Story
We often get asked if yoga brought us together.
We laugh. Not even close.
We met in a nightclub in Barcelona in 2003 — long before we had even heard the word yoga.
Over the next decade, we traveled the world together, living and working in Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain, and exploring places like South America, India, and parts of Southeast Asia.
Most of the time we worked in hospitality or seasonal jobs so we could keep exploring.
We rarely had much of a plan — we simply decided together where to go next and followed whatever felt exciting or new.

Even before yoga entered our lives, we were drawn to experiences that made us feel alive, connected, and inspired. Meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and learning along the way shaped how we wanted to live.
Somewhere along that journey, our curiosity began turning toward yoga and personal development — what started as curiosity slowly became something deeper.
FINDING YOGA
Yoga had entered our lives individually and quietly started making us question things — how we were living, the choices we were making, and why we’re even here on this planet.
By 2012, yoga had begun affecting both of us in ways we couldn’t quite explain, leaving us curious to explore it more deeply.
So we quit our full-time jobs in Copenhagen.
And booked a one-way ticket to Bali.
Zero plan.
Just curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a desire to live more fully.
That leap of faith changed our lives in ways we could never have imagined.
A NEW CHAPTER in BALI
Shortly after arriving in Bali, Lisa completed her teacher training (Naza had completed his first training in India the year before), and we soon began teaching full-time at one of the island’s best-known yoga studios.
Life in Ubud quickly pulled us deeper into the yoga world.
Alongside teaching daily classes and workshops, we supported and mentored within teacher trainings, and eventually began teaching at them as well.
Yoga quickly became more than something we practiced — it became the way we were living.
Many knowledgeable senior teachers passed through Ubud at the time to lead workshops and trainings, which gave us the chance to learn from some incredibly experienced teachers.
We spent as much time as possible practicing, learning, and connecting with students and teachers from all over the world.
We ended up spending nearly three years living and teaching in Bali — years that quietly shaped our lives and laid the foundation for everything that followed.
COMMUNITY, CREATIVITY, AND INSPIRATION
But what stood out most during those early years in Ubud was the atmosphere.
People came from all over the world to practice. Where you were from or what you did for a living didn’t really matter — no one seemed interested in that.
There were no roles.
People were simply people.
Many who stayed longer became close friends.
We had all met through yoga, and over time a strong and supportive community formed around us.
A lot of those friends were working on creative projects of their own, and everyone genuinely cheered each other on.
The energy was uplifting, inspiring, and pretty damn magical. If someone had a big dream, others supported it.
It felt like anything was possible.
THE BIRTH OF INSPIRO YOGA
In 2013, the idea for Inspiro Yoga began to take shape.
We wanted to bring together the things that had inspired us most — yoga, meaningful connections, travel, and the incredible food culture we loved in Ubud — into spaces where people could practice, nourish themselves, and feel inspired.
At first, Inspiro existed as a small website sharing who we were and the classes and workshops we were teaching while living on the island.
Around that time we also began hosting retreats, teaching at studios and trainings across Bali, and gradually expanding our workshops throughout the island.
Over the years, Inspiro slowly began to grow beyond Bali.
We started receiving invitations to teach at studios and festivals across Europe, gradually shifting from teaching in one place to sharing yoga wherever the opportunities took us
OUR INTENTION TODAY
Our intention remains the same as it was back then — to create spaces where people can deepen their practice, connect with themselves and others, and feel inspired. The spirit of community that welcomed and supported us in those early Bali years continues to shape everything we do, guiding every class, retreat, and workshop we offer.
Over the past 14 years, we’ve shared more than 12,000 hours of yoga — teaching in studios, leading pop-up events and workshops, hosting retreats, guiding festival classes, leading teacher trainings, and sharing practices online — exploring every possible way yoga can be taught and experienced.
The story is still unfolding — and we’d love to meet you somewhere along the way.
